Benefiting from its proximity to the Chapada Diamantina mountain range, the Piatã municipality in Brazil’s Bahia region is home to some of the most celebrated coffees in the country. This dry processed lot from legendary producer Silvio Leite in Piatã was awarded second place among a collection of his auction lot coffees from the 2022 harvest year. Kept in freezer preservation since it's arrival to our warehouse in early 2023, we're delighted to share the very last of this Reserve Lot as one last archival release for the year. We've been finding nuanced aromatics of floral honey and orange peel on the nose of this coffee, followed by flavors of red grape, black cherry, and creamy cocoa in the cup.
