This washed gesha lot from producer Jose Antonio Cenon placed fifth in the central region of the 2025 Copa de Oro competition, and was one of two coffees from the municipality of Garzón in Huila to earn awards. Jose, along with the overall winner of the competition, Hugo González, represent the first time Garzón has appeared on the awards podium since the competition began in 2022, making a strong case that this lesser‑celebrated region is one to watch. We find plenty of rose and honeysuckle aromatics on the nose of this coffee, followed by mild strawberry and lemonade-like qualities emerging in the cup alongside additional flavors of summer melon and white grape.
