This washed process Reserve Lot selection comes from the Banko Chelchele washing station, which collects and processes cherries from the harvests of multiple smallholder farmers located near the town of Chelchele in Ethiopia's Gedeb district. While not produced in the district of Yirgacheffe proper, coffees like this one from the Gedeo zone are often grouped under the broader regional distinction of Yirgacheffe. A classically elegant washed Ethiopian profile, we find floral honey, vanilla, and toasted coconut on the nose, followed by balanced flavors of white peach, tangerine, and melon in the cup.
